Story (Fiction)

No resemblance to any person, living or dead. A work of art. Any names mentioned are fictional. Let the great writer write in peace.

At the age of 22, this young boy recently finished his studies and is working in a nice job in Mumbai earning 5000 rs per month (year is 1996, so it is good amount). He dreams of purchasing a big house, maybe move to Australia in future. He marries a girl based on advice of his masi. The girl has 5 elder sisters and she is the youngest one always controlled by her sisters. Her father is alcoholic and she has stayed with her uncle till the age of 14. The girl does graduation and moves to Mumbai to work in the accounts dept. of a company. Mother of the girl proudly tells that her daughter does not know any household work and the boy tells that he is an expert in cooking. The two gets married, boy is successful on first night and a son is born after 9 months of marriage. Ego fights are common between the husband and wife. If husband says anything, girl takes strong offense and gives hard replies. The boy discovers from a neighbor that a stranger is regularly visiting their home. Wife denies visit of anyone even though two glasses of tea used for guests are regularly noticed by husband. A chance meeting of old collegemate of girl tells things about the girl to the husband without realizing that he is the husband. Husband notices the presence of another person in wife's office. Wife is getting extremely angry on realizing her truth is coming out. Father gifts an aeroplane to the son.

2 yrs passes and the marriage has mostly ended. Wife moves away and refuses to come back. Her relationship with her office colleague has become very strong. Colleague is moving to middle east for a  job, wife regularly chats with him and misses him. She decides to make final move to 'deposit' the son with her parents and join the colleague. Husband begs courts etc to bring his wife back and nothing happens.

She has given birth to a daughter now, son is being taken care by alcoholic maternal grandfather and mother. Father is somewhere struggling to get access to the child. Courts cases do not move. Random harassment in courts/witness box. Girl never comes to court but files all sort of 498a cases etc. 21 yrs have passed. Son is now 23. He is a good guitar player, loves flying planes and has done engg. in  aeronautics. The court cases are still going on. Father has grown as MRA, is one of the first MRAs of the country and guides others. The movement is becoming stronger with fresh victims every so often. There's light at the end of tunnel, there's still some distance to travel.
